Powerland Generator Review

Let us take a look at what they do sell.

PowerLand PD3G10000E

The versatility and power of the PD3G10000E are truly remarkable. In addition to running your RV's appliances and other electronics, its 8,000-watt output means it can also power your tools and other home essentials. Surge power of 10,000 watts, on the other hand, will provide the extra oomph that some devices need to run reliably and without interruption.

Features

The PowerLand PD3G10000E offers the types of features common amongst many modern generators, but also additional perks that are sure to pique the curiosity of both professionals and homeowners. The ones that first come to mind are as follows:

  • A warning signal for oil
  • Controlled keypad ignition
  • Advanced metering technology
  • Reduction in oil flow cutoff
  • Fire extinguisher

Engine and Power

The PowerLand PD3G10000E, with its 419cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine, is not the most powerful portable generator in its class. It is not as robust as some of the more expensive options, but it should be able to withstand everyday use and light workshop abuse without breaking a sweat.

The gasoline-powered generator can produce 8,000 continuous AC watts and 10,000 peak watts. However, I found that the machine still produces at least 6,000 rated watts and 8,000 surge watts regardless of the fuel you're using, even though the manufacturer doesn't indicate the output rates for the other fuels and these values reduce when using propane or natural gas.

At its lowest capacity, the generator can still power an average 5,000-watt home, along with various power tools and even recreational vehicles.

If you are concerned about your generator's fuel efficiency, the autothrottle system is a feature you will definitely appreciate. When loads are switched off or unplugged, the engine speed is automatically decreased, and when they are turned back on, the engine speed is automatically increased by the system.

In the absence of a load, the autothrottle system can be turned on to save fuel and lower the volume of the generator, and it can be turned off to speed up the warm-up time.

Due to its electric start and recoil backup, the machine may be easily started in any weather.

Outlets

The PowerLand PD3G10000E's versatility allows it to serve as a whole-house generator. It has multiple outlets to accommodate various loads, including a 120/240V outlet that is compatible with devices that operate on either voltage.

Each of the following plugs is included on the gadget:

  • Duplex 20-ampere, 120-volt AC outlets are rated for a maximum of two 20-ampere loads each.
  • One 30-amp, 120-volt plug that twists to lock for safety.
  • There is one 30 amp, 120/240-volt Twist Lock outlet that is safeguarded.
  • There is a single 12V/18Amp DC battery plug.

Runtime

While many customers praise this tri-fuel generator's primary duty as an emergency power source, it may also be used for a wide range of other purposes around the house.

Therefore, if you have a long run time, you can use your appliances for a longer period of time.

The actual operating time of the device is dependent on the fuel type used. Natural gas can keep the PD3G10000E running for almost a day, while propane's performance is the worst. The maximum output of the generator is:

  • Propane can power a 50% load for 6 hours.
  • 10 hours on gasoline
  • 20 hours on natural gas

If the latter is the case, the machine should be powered off every 20 hours and given at least two hours to rest before being used again.

Design

The PowerLand PD3G10000E is compact enough to fit in your backyard while also being powerful enough to take on modest industrial and residential tasks.

The unit's sturdy structure is constructed from 1-1/4-inch steel tubes and houses the engine and a steel gasoline tank with an integrated fuel gauge. Four separate mounts attach the motor to the chassis, making for a more stable and silent ride.

The fuel tank's filling port is situated in an accessible area. The generator's front panel houses the control panel with its easy-to-use buttons and power outlets.

The PD3G10000E's compact design is undoubtedly one of its best features. Compact and lightweight, the generator measures just 28.5 by 21.75 by 22.5 inches. The unit can be transformed from a stationary to a transportable configuration with minimal effort and extra components. Even with the mobility package, its overall dimensions of 29.5 by 28 by 28 inches (L x W x H) are less than those of most competing models.

The PowerLand PD3G10000E is lighter than competing portable generators, coming in at just 265 pounds with the wheel kit installed.

Easy transport all over town is guaranteed with the 10x12 inch no-flat wheels and collapsible handle.

The PD3G10000E has an AC circuit breaker and a circuit protector in addition to its sleek style.

The former prevents damage to the generator and the load by turning it off immediately when it senses an overload. The latter turns the unit off automatically if an outlet is overloaded or experiences a short circuit.

Noise Level

An additional challenge in acquiring a power generator could be the noise it produces. Exposure to even relatively quiet environments for extended periods can have an adverse effect on hearing health, and exposure to high noise can be very damaging.

The decibels of a generator is very important. As an example, a healthy person can endure noise levels of 91 dB for up to two hours, whereas noise levels over 100 decibels can cause damage to the eardrums in as little as 15 minutes. Exposure to noise at 100 dB or more for just one minute can permanently damage your hearing.

As a result, most common household appliances and power tools now operate at noticeably quieter, more bearable decibel levels.

The PowerLand PD3G10000E portable generator is in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations and produces just about 75dB at 22 feet, which is about the same as a vacuum cleaner.

With its idle control feature, the noise level may be lowered to a manageable 45dB, making it ideal for use in environments when there is no stress on the machine. An adult can tolerate the volume for more than 8 hours, making the device ideal for use by campers or to power your party.

Feedback

The PowerLand PD3G10000E has been lauded by customers for its durability, affordability, and dependability. Although initially purchased for usage in the event of a power outage, users have reported using it for other purposes.

The ability to switch fuels quickly is prized. There are three fuel sources available for this power generator, so you can use anything you choose or have easier access to. Changing from one fuel to another also allows for an increase in runtime.

It has also been noted that the generator is easy to use and maintain.

Pros

One of the most appealing features of the PowerLand PD3G10000E is its ability to operate on three different fuel types. The appliance can be powered by gasoline, propane, or natural gas, giving you the option of using whichever fuel source provides the best performance and most convenience for you. The generator can effortlessly run a wide range of loads, such as home appliances, power equipment, RVs, and more, thanks to its high AC output rating of up to 8,000 watts.

The generator's dual ignition technology and user-friendly control panel make it effortless to turn on the unit in any climate.

Wheels allow the generator to be moved from its stationary base. The PD3G10000E is easily transported because of its lightweight design, 1012-inch wheels, and ergonomic handle.

Cons

Negatives are few and mostly annoyances rather than deal breakers. Perhaps the most annoying thing is the poor quality of the owner manual's writing, but the excellent support team more than makes up for it.

I also had problems with the lack of natural gas and propane pipes. However, the generator is equipped with the necessary connectors, so a conventional propane or gas line may be easily connected to the engine.

Conclusion

The PowerLand PD3G10000E is a top contender for the title of finest home generator. This versatile workhorse, which operates on gasoline, propane, and natural gas, is ideal for the vast majority of homes.

As a state with stricter limits on air pollution, California is an ideal location for the manufacture of this portable generator. This means the PD3G10000E is in line with regulations set by the EPA and CARB.

The generator's marketability and success rise in proportion to the satisfaction it provides for the price.

PowerLand PD2000

An excellent choice if you need a portable gas generator and value portability, convenience, and silence. It may be used in the comfort of one's own home, while out in the wilderness, inside an RV, and even on the construction site, thanks to its portability and robust power supply.

In my opinion, the name PD2000 can be deceiving if you don't do your homework first. A portable generator's starting wattage and/or its running wattage can usually be deduced from a number included in the product name. It's not possible to start the generator with 2000 watts of power, and the generator itself does not produce that much power while running.

While it is on, you'll get a maximum of 1500 watts and just 1200 running watts. That stands completely on its own as a viable solution, as long as that is how much you need and you don’t think you are getting 2000W. The name of the model, when compared to others, is quite deceptive.

PowerLand missed the mark by not designating this as the PD1500. If they had, you could make the exchange knowing exactly what you were getting. Further, it would facilitate the comparison of equivalent products among brands.

Engine and Power

The PD2000 is an EPA-legal single-cylinder, 4-stroke, OHV engine. It has a 4-hour run time at half load on its 1-gallon petrol tank.

The only type of starter offered is a recoil one, which is standard for engines of this power. The welded metal enclosure of this 1500W generator sets it apart from the competition. These smaller iterations often feature merely an incorporated carrying handle.

Emissions

Because the PD2000 has not been approved by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), it cannot be used in that state or in Canada. Plus, it can't be run at altitudes above 3,500 feet.

Outlets

Along with the DC port, there is also an AC outlet capable of delivering 120 volts that has been grounded. In most circumstances, this should be more than enough for a generator of this size.

Noise

The PD2000's decibel level is approximately par for a 1500 watt device.

Size

Dimensionally, it's 18 inches in length, 15 inches in width, and 18 inches in height. It weighs a hefty 59 pounds. The frame adds some necessary protection for the engine, but it also makes the generator heavier, which must be taken into account during shipping.

Extras

PowerLand includes charging cables, a toolkit, and an instruction manual with the purchase of your generator. Not knowing what's in there, but hopefully enough to keep the motor running well.

Warranty

The manufacturer offers a 12-month guarantee on parts. Spark plugs, fuel filters, air cleaners, tyres and wheel bearings, recoil starters, rope, cables, and belt are NOT covered by the warranty. Neither are engine oil, gas, propane tanks, grease, or rubber bushings.

Conclusion

I recommend this generator for use for outdoor activities like tent camping, car camping, tailgating, and other similar events.

The PD2000's low power output limits the number of tasks it can handle at once.

Final thoughts

Just another thing to bare in mind is that I reviewed the PD3G10000E. They also offer the PD10000E and the PD2G10000E. All 3 of them are basically the same generator, but come with different fueling options, the PD10000E only uses Gas and the PD2G10000E is their dual fuel option. Whilst the PD3G10000E is their tri-fuel option.
