Pulsar Generator Review

Purchase your generator for the best price at Amazon.com!

Pulsar generators are produced by Pulsar Products. The Pulsar facility in Ontario, California is where all of the generator models are assembled but the generator engines are manufactured by a firm called Ducar in China.

The company, which is rapidly expanding, places a premium on innovative design, useful extras, and top-notch functionality across the board for its products.

Pulsar Products always considers the customer's perspective when developing new products.

Each generator they create is made to be as trustworthy, long-lasting, and simple to use as possible.

Pricing

Pulsar offers some of the most competitively priced generators available today. Price goes up when power output goes up, but it's still far less than similar models by competing brands. Typically, one should expect to pay around $859 for a Pulsar generator on average. There is a wide price range for Pulsar generators, from around $130 to about $2700.

Reputation

In the marketplace, pulsar generators have a solid reputation for quality. Someone on a tight budget who doesn't want to spend a bunch on a generator should definitely consider these.

Such generators typically offer a great compromise between sturdiness and portability, making them a great option for those seeking a portable device.

The pulsar generator engines are also reliable and somewhat efficient but not as efficient as some of the more premium brands. But they come with a much greater cost.

Although the selection of Pulsar generators is not huge, it does provide a lot of exciting options.

Traditional gas-powered generators, flexible dual-fuel generators, and silent inverter generators give just about everybody an option that works for their needs.

Notable features

Depending on whatever Pulsar generator model you invest in, you'll have access to different features. Some of the firm's wares are rather standard fare, but others feature innovative improvements.

Many of the models, for instance, feature push-button starters or wireless remote controllers, making them extremely convenient to operate.

The Pulsar dual-fuel generators include innovative Switch & Go Technology that allows for a smooth transition between fuel sources while the device is still running.

The mobility and durability of many Pulsar generators are enhanced by a variety of built-in features. Consisting of impact-resistant shells and telescoping handles, and wheels never need to be inflated.

All Pulsar inverter generators utilize proven sine wave technology to provide clean, safe electrical power.

This feature ensures that your sensitive electronics can safely be powered by the generators.

Most Pulsar generator models meet or exceed all environmental regulations, including those of the EPA and CARB.

They have met the standards for delivering clean electricity by proving that the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the power they supply is less than 5%. You can use your laptop and other electronics without worrying about their safety if you know the energy being transmitted is stable.

A few of the safeguards built into Pulsar generators are voltage regulation, overload prevention, and low oil protection. Many models have foldable handles and airless tyres, making them convenient for transport and storage.

As a company, Pulsar Products is at the forefront of innovation and technological advancement. The corporation does a great job of satisfying its customers by building convenience, ease of use, and durability into the design of each product.

If you're looking for durable, cost-effective generators, go no further than the Pulsar series.

Warranty

Several different service plans and extended warranties are available for your Pulsar generator purchase. For the most part, you may expect a limited warranty that lasts for two years.

However, there are generators available with limited guarantees of one to three years.

Before buying one of these generators, be sure to read the fine print on the warranty.

Pulsar Generator Review

What follows is a list of my top three Pulsar generators, in no particular order:

Pulsar's GN200KT Inverter

Don't underestimate the power of this little portable generator. This digital inverter generator provides clean electricity with a peak output of 2000 watts and a continuous output of 1600 watts.

Further, it has a parallel feature that lets you connect two similar devices together for double the power. The GN200KT's Stable Sine Wave Technology ensures clean, safe power for sensitive electronics including laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

Weighing in at less than 47 pounds, this compact generator is a true mobile elite. It has a sleek, ergonomic suitcase design that is small enough to fit in overhead compartments. You can take it with you camping or to a tailgate party and still get everything done that needs doing.

Be sure the ignition is turned off and the engine is turned off before starting. Turn on the generator and connect the device's connector to the outlet marked for its voltage range. Then away you go.

Pulsar PG4000iSR

The PG4000iSR is yet another portable inverter generator from Pulsar. This top-tier device is extremely portable and produces clean energy despite its compact size.

The 3500 operational watts and 4000 peak watts are produced by its single-cylinder, four-stroke engine. It boasts a telescoping handle, puncture-proof wheels, and a sturdy, durable frame.

The 4000 Watt Pulsar Generator is versatile and serves a variety of purposes. Having both a parallel function and a remote start button makes it versatile for any application. In addition, all of the controls are really functional, with straightforward buttons. Because of its light weight and small size, it is very convenient for transport.

First, make sure the generator isn't connected to anything, and then set it up on a flat surface. In order to activate the engine, you must first turn the Economy switch OFF and then the Start Switch to RUN. Quickly pull the recoil handle as soon as you feel any resistance. Don't rush the engine; it needs some time to warm up.

A push start or remote start requires the Start Switch to be set to RUN and the Economy Switch to be OFF. Press the start button to activate the generator.

Maintain the Remote Start button push until it begins to operate. Before turning the engine off, disconnect all electronic equipment and flip the Start Switch to the OFF position. To stop remotely, press the Stop button and turn the Start Switch off.

Pulsar G12KBN

Pulsar G12KBN Heavy Duty Portable Dual Fuel Generator - 9500 Rated Watts & 12000 Peak Watts - Gas & LPG - Electric Start - Transfer Switch & RV Ready - CARB Compliant

It can produce up to 10,800 watts when running on LPG, the Pulsar G12KBN which falls short of the 12,000-watt mark. However, when run on gasoline, it can produce up to 12,000 watts of power at its max.

Get the power you need and want with this one. It is incredible for a portable generator. It has both an electric and recoil starter for your convenience. It's also very portable because of its fold-down handles and large, puncture-proof wheels which are 10 inches.

The Pulsar G12KBN is a powerful and versatile portable generator that operates on both gas and oil. Gasoline or liquid petroleum gas (LPG) can be used to power this device. In the past, gasoline was the fuel of choice for generators, but recently, dual-fuel generators have been more widely available.

Liquid propane fuel sources give you additional flexibility in critical situations. It has a longer shelf life, is more eco-friendly, and may be used for a longer period of time.

Before placing the generator on a level surface, be sure all power sources have been disconnected. To use gasoline, select GAS from the fuel drop-down menu and keep the fuel valve in the ON position. If the engine is cold, move the lever to the "choke" setting.

To use an electric starter, simply push and hold the ignition switch to the ON position. Take it easy at first, but after you feel the recoil build, give it a good, hard yank. Keep the engine running for a few seconds and then off power. As the engine warms up, move the choke lever to the RUN position.

When using LPG, connect the gas pipe to the regulator's intake nozzle and turn on the bottle's valve. Assuming a cold start, the fuel selector should be moved to the CHOKE position, LPG selected. Carry on with the same procedures until the choke lever is in the RUN position.

You can turn off the engine by disconnecting all of the loads and flipping the switch to the OFF position. If you were using gasoline, move the fuel valve lever to the OFF position, and if you were using liquid propane gas, turn off the bottle.

Other notable generators

These did not make my top 3 but they are excellent generators.

Pulsar PG1202S

If you're looking for a lightweight and compact portable generator to bring with you on your next outdoor adventure, the Pulsar PG1202S might be the best choice. This variant is powered by a 72-cc, 2-stroke motor that produces 1200 peak and 900 continuous watts.

Weighing in at about 35 lbs, the PG1202S is easily transported. In addition to its sturdy base, it also features a sturdy handle.

Pulsar G2319N

Pulsar G2319N 2,300W Portable Gas-Powered Inverter Generator with USB Outlet & Parallel Capability, CARB Compliant, Gray

The 1800 running watts and 2300 peak watts produced by the Pulsar G2319N inverter generator is excellently good value. One of the best inverters on the market, this model is portable and lightweight (less than 47 pounds). It can run for 4.8 hours on its 1.18-gallon tank at half power before it needs to be replenished.

Pulsar PG2200BiS

Pulsar 2,200W Portable Dual Fuel Quiet Inverter Generator with USB Outlet & Parallel Capability, CARB Compliant, PG2200BiS

The Pulsar PG2200BiS is our favorite due to its inverter technology and ability to use either gasoline or diesel. The 80-cc engine provides 2200 peak watts and 1800 operational watts of power for this generator.

It's perfect for low-intensity uses around the house and in the great outdoors. At only 75 minutes per pound of propane, the Pulsar PG2200BiS can power on for an impressive 8 hours on a single 1.18-tank.

Pulsar PG3250

It's a simple gasoline-powered generator designed for infrequent users. Powering the Pulsar PG3250 is a 208-cc engine that generates 2500 running watts and 3250 starting watts. At half load, this generator's 4-gallon fuel capacity will last for up to 12 hours. There is simply a single 12v plug and two 120v plugs.

Pulsar PG10000B16

Pulsar PG10000B16 Portable Dual Fuel Generator-8000 Rated 10000 Peak Watts-Gas & LPG Electric Start-Switch-&-Go Build in, RV Ready-CARB Compliant, 10, 000W, Black

The Pulsar PG10000B16 is one of the most powerful generators produced by this company. In terms of pricing and power production, this dual-fuel generator is hard to beat. When running on gasoline, its 420-cc engine can produce up to 10,000 watts of power (at its peak) and 8,000 watts (at its rated output).

The average amount of time that the Pulsar PG10000B16 can run without refueling is 12 hours, thanks to its 6.6-gallon fuel tank.

Final thoughts

If you're looking for a reliable generator that won't break the bank, a Pulsar model is a fantastic choice.

The market is limited when it comes to high-capacity generators, and these are among the least expensive options.

In case you like inverter-style generators, know that Pulsar doesn't provide a lot of variety in that department. However, the generators they do offer are really good.

The variety of dual-fuel generators is a major advantage, and the devices that are currently available are reliable, efficient, and simple to operate.

If you're looking for a portable generator that won't break the bank but will still get the job done, look no further than Pulsar.
